Ceritanya, in May we had to buy new sets of uniform for the kids after we transferred them to the new school. Uniform sekolah kebangsaan and sekolah agama.

Along was disappointed as she was a Librarian for old school, to her it's like being 'turun pangkat' to which I encouraged her to show the best attitude and academic to be chosen again in new school. While Adan elated because he don't have to wear the suffocating school-tie. Bibik was happy as well coz the shoes and socks are now = black

What happen was, we received this today

Hanis was originally selected to be a prefect, but she was sick on the day of interview and missed the chance. We thought she would not be having any title next year until this afternoon, she got this letter of appointment. She's now a librarian...again...

Cuti-Cuti Sekolah 2011

Very the important dates when you have 2 schoolchildren in da house.

Acara jalan-jalan carik pasal relies on these dates. Not because we only travel during those dates but most importantly, we want to avoid it hehe ya lor, can jimat on hotels and no need to brave crowds. Stuffs oso cheaper maa.

2011 will be our last year for us to ajar anak play truant (bad ibu, bad babah haipp!!). 2012 will see us doing domestic stuffs :P

Jeans kena ambik size yg boleh cover paha drumstick and 2 cheeky-cheeks and we end-up with size 30++ which is way too big for our pinggang yg menten ramping (walau perut ada sedikit buncit). Add a belt to it and you'll see all the kedutan which will show up from under your shirt and it looks exactly like bulges tho you don't have one (ada unsur tipu di sini)

Until those brainy people in the jeans design team decided to cater our needs. Muaahhss, lap u . CurveID for women with curve (like moi..awww). U can be slight, demi or bold. Before it was launched, I'm pretty sure that I'm bold.

Masa tunggu boipren tadi petang, I had a peek at Sog0. To buy this pair tak bley suka suki ckp saiz & try. Wajib ukur dulu. Not that I don't care

I rarely blog about what's happening around, latest news and all. I read almost all online newspapers local & foreign and alternative media. EVERYDAY. But I dont blog about it.

Reason being, I dont want my blog to receive visitors yang sesat while searching for these news. This blog still appear in Go0gle search and if it hits the right keyword, this blog can appear as the top result but to do that will require some knowledge about my life. I even changed name of places or replace 'O' with '0' (zero), 'i' with '1' to avoid Google crawlies from dragging my blog into their result page. I'm no NuffNan9 blogger :)

But today, I do feel like blogging about the news esp about the wrath of Gunung Merap1. We'll see whether I got the energy to do it.

Of Forum & Books

Attend a whole day forum in Mandarin 0riental, not expecting to receive tons of hardcover books. My luck, I was given a copy of book on takaful & re-takaful that was launched before lunch. F.O.C. It will cost me close to RM100 if I were to buy from bookstore. Luv Luv

End of session, I changed my heels for a flat pump (lucky I had it in my canvas bag) cause I have to literally drag the bags which were full & heavy with books. I loike. Tu pun aku x pi mana2 booth to collect souvenirs or whatnot, else mau aku sort & throw other contents.

Ku heret, ku seret kaki kembangku until I i found a place called Kin0kuniya :) Tak serik...grabbed another 2 books and some stationeries while waiting for boifren. Dinner. Sembang. Rempit. Bath. Blog. Tired.

Ready to start my daily reading rituals like before.

Tingat jaman dolu2..

Tadi jalan-jalan carik nasik ayam kat G1ant Batu Kep, skalik ada booth Creat1ve Ent (sure korang penah g lawatan sambil blaja masa skolah dulu kan ? eleh..jgn tipu). Mula2 aku x perasan sape si penjualnya, aku menarik tertarik kau da boom sbb nampak dia letak RM5 besau2 kat kabinet tu.

Novel 5 hengget sebijon ? Hmm murah bangat seh..belek, belek, belek. Nantilah..round dulu sambil angkat night gown seketul (iklan : nk pomot sila beli baju tido brand fiori2, x yah nak perabih $$ kat la seksa senza. Aku peminat) . Makan nasik ayam seround, bungkus sekor burrp, eh bukan ko tgh diet ke? hehe iye, tapi pagi tadi exam xleh diet nanti ilmu tak masuk :P

Dah kenyang baru la terbuka hati aku round 1x lagi, terus 'bungkus 3 bijik, kak' ceh mcm order kat mamak je kan ? Dah bayar, mata aku terpempan (eceh maklumla baru lps beli 3 bijik novel melayu, ayat sastera terus) . Woh! katun feveret aku dari kecik...collection...in hardcover. Woh lagi skali ! Katun feveret bapak aku jugak nih. Kalau baca Gila2, terus belek 1st page...katun Jaafar Taib yang tak ada dialog tapi lawak nak mampus. Sbbnya muka, mata katun dia mmg kelas, even watak2 sampingan mcm biawak kecik kat kaki gajah boleh buat aksi lawak...

Terus sambar juga. Gembira.

Suami nampak. Mau juga. Budak Minang ada ?. Ada. Sila beli dua. Kenapa ? Sambungan katanya. Suami gembira.

Pulang dari Giant ada 2 orang dewasa yang gembira dan 1 orang kanak-kanak yang memang sentiasa gembira. Dua kanak-kanak yang tidak ikut kurang gembira kerana adiknya pulang dgn jam tangan pink berhologram minnie boleh pancar ke lantai, dinding dan mata.

Last Tuesday, I took a break and made my way to BookXcess and as expected, I can't help myself when it comes to books books books what more when it's so cheap cheap cheap. I bought these :

So, that will be my new reading stuffs. What about these then ? Hohoho sgt uzur buku2 ini, aku masih mencari tempat mau 'refurbish' buku2 ini which were printed back in 1950s !! yes...These are some of the books that my abah collected since his school days and these books were my favorite when I was a child. I don't know how many time I've re-read all of it. I'm proud to say that I've read Hamka's greatest novels when I was only 8 yrs old. Thanx to my abah. His habit melekat on me and apart from reading, there is another habit which I inherited till now...

Which is...wrapping the book !! I can't focus on my reading if I've yet to wrap it. If I desperately need to read it right after buying then I'll open up the book enough for me to read. I wont let the book, terkangkang, terkelepet dan sebagainyaa....kalau buku tulis anak aku pun aku wrap semua, korang imaginelah buku buku kesayangan, kan ? tapi kenapa buku yang ni bapak aku tak jaga ? Sebabnya, macam-macam org pinjam, sana sini, koyak rabak & lepas tu abah dah lost interest in reading novels, he moved into academic and religious stuffs. Penuh beberapa almari, all nicely wrapped.

Sebelum Syawal habis, 1 acara makan2 yang diadakan pada hari bekerja telah berlangsung. Pada mulanya ia adalah acara 'aku nak beraya rumah Eline'. ( Kajang, Putra Heights boleh cover, umah geng se-Gombak x sampai2, ampun cikgu). Kemudian ada org itu yg suaminya sangat bizi di waktu malam (???) juga mahu menjoin dan seorang lagi yang jauh di mata minta dipostponekan acara supaya dapat menunggu suaminya pulang dari perbatasan kejauhan.

Malam itu Gombak digegarkan oleh suara2 nyaring kanak-kanak ribena yang berjumlah 9 orang. Tuan rumah, pasni harus pasang bekas lapik telur kasik sound proof sikit.

Dah penat layan perut, jeling/tengking/jegil & sebagainya, kami pulang dgn hati riang, perut kenyang tapi tetap tensi sbb esoknya kirjaaaaaaaa...

Apa2pun, TQ sbb susah payah berkompol di hari bekerja kerana kononnya wiken sgt pack, juga kesanggupan mendengar jeritan, rintihan, sentap-an anakmu anakku jua yg out-of control.

Tima kasih banyak2 tuan rumah yang masak mcm nak makan 20 org dan sbb kasik tapau gulai & sup (x yah masak utk esok yay!!).

Tima kasih sbb tak serik terima tetamu bingit.

37 DAYS to go

After a shocking 'revelation' by the scale last nite, aku tersedar diri sikit. Maka terus beraksi dgn pantas.

AKSI pada 11 Oct 2010

Before bed last nite : gulped 1 lime juice diluted with 1/2 cup warm water - Done

Before work : 7.30 - 8.30 treadmill session - Failed

Breakfast : Milk + Cereal - Done (additional 1 cup of kopi-o)

Kudap : Cereal bar + banana - Failed (dangerous for dinner time)

Plain water : 1 litre - as of posting time 'Failed', 500ml the most

Lunch hour : Gym - Failed

Lunch : Tuna Sandwich + Fruits - Done

Tea-time : Skipped - Done

Dinner : Kuew tiaw tomyam Hj Tapah :) - not yet, harap2 x tergudes dgn teh tariknya

Cannot skip too much coz I'm just starting. Thinking of having detox (liquid diet) session 1st but I don't think I can handle coz I've been eating and stuffing my face like nobodys business lately. It would be too much for my tummy to handle the 'emptiness' esp around midnight. I'm sure I can get rid at least 3kg in the 1st 3 days if i manage to maintain my diet. The first few kilos is always easy, right ? esp if you coupled ur diet with exercise.

Aiming for 1-2kg per week (You've done 5kg before so trust yourself). Should be achievable. Will post a weekly result (janji manis seperti biasa)

Biggest achievement ? No teh tarik (normally 2,3 glasses per day) , No big size Western set breakfast + french toast (almost daily). No bakery stuffs, puffs (daily coz its yummy).

Hitting the scale in kelajuan cahaya

and tonite, after feeling a bit 'heavy' and looking at perut yg membuak (while eating char koay teow in kg.baru) I stepped on the scale and .......

Acara tepek dinding

It's no use to deny that I am very much like my abah, I inherited so much artsy fartsy side of him. At one point in my life (when I used pen more than keyboard) my handwriting was almost similar to him (he got a beautiful strokes, so WAS mine kahkahkah). Photography, books and anti-misalignment etc all are his trade that unconsciously showing in me, that's what my mom kept on telling me.

I was brought up in a house that was full of photo frames and oil painted arts which were painted by my abah. He even wrote (yes, as in writing on paper) a philosophy or nice quotes on the wall. Quotes such as 'Jangan jadi seperti lilin, membakar diri untuk menerangi orang lain, berilah sinarmu tapi jangan musnahkan dirimu'. It was written across our living wall. He painted bubbles, lines here and there. it's everywhere...our house was painted with glossy paint, never that boring dull paint.

So it came as no surprise when I started to visualise the same thing for my new house. I was thinking of doing it the 'manual' way coz at that time (few years ago), to get a wall decal, it will cost you arms and legs just for 1 design and only available online. The nearest shop that I can place my order is S'pore.

Luck is on my side, I don't have to worry anymore as there a tonnes of these stickers around :) Just decide you want the mahal one or cheapo type. Early this year, I bought my 1st sticker in Gaya Market KK for rm6/piece only to discover that it was selling at rm2/piece in pasar malam. I bought in bundles.

I wanted to change this family area into a play area, so I put the stickers on after that KK trip.

Last week I've added another design at the bottom, does it look too much, crowded ? or better then the 1st one ?

Next ? I'm going to order quotes as well, alang2 dah macam anak abah kan ? Complete package je lah kan ? Wall quotes that look something like this... with nicer font and personalize quotes

New (and huge) addition to the family

My SIL who got married on 01.01.10 had delivered her offspring few days shy of her dream date i.e. 10.10.10. She wanted the baby birthdate to match her wedding date.

But the baby had his own plan, he wanted to come out earlier. After 1 night in hospital, his mommy seems to achieve only 1-cm dilation from 3 to 4cm. Loooong way to go. He got an idea...he pooped !! So he was immediately delivered within 1-hour via 'tingkap', hitting the scales at 3.88kg !! I jokingly told my SIL, 'ok jgk caesar, kalau tak jenuh woo nak push budak besar tu'.

Welcome to the family yet-to-be-named nephew !!

Alhamdulillah, my SIL seems to blessed with so many good things after all the suffering & pressures that she had to face before. Alhamdulillah jugak coz my MIL can now let go all of her worries and heartaches.

And I can breathe a sigh of relief as well.

Sunday 3 Oct, the day after Aiza came (we went to bed at like 3am), we had to get up early kerana mahu merembat barang2 bagus di Pesta Meredeem Mata Hasil Penggunaan Kad Kredit anjuran bank See.I.Am.Bee di Midvalleh.

Pagi konooon, lepas Subuh set alarm balik nak bangun pkl 8, skali tengok jam 9.30 huhu. Lompat.Mandi.Pakai Baju.Arahan Breakfast utk anak2. Vroom via DUKE (Again, we love DUKE hi-way). Bfast @ Delifrance. 11am++ ready to terjah booth.

X-Matrix 123 Reunion Raya

After 12 years (even 15 for some), we met again in Putra He1ghts (A1za's house). They came in different shapes and sizes including moi. Some changed a lot while some stayed cute as ever hahaha Not to mention their cute little mini-me. Time flies, eh?

We used to flirt, made cruel jokes and said whateva things that came through our mouth and the funny thing is...we never changed !! I suppose, the spouses had to bear with us and accept whateva thrown to their partner that day and I hope it won't end in soklan cepumas in the bedroom later !! hehehe I'm happy coz they stayed true to themselves, not too much of hypocracy shown tho I myself did limit myself (esp. on food..but failed miserably of coz).

I miss them so much and glad that we did proceed with the event tho we only managed to get 1/2 of us. Food were in abundance as we agreed to potluck and dress casually. No raya dresscode required.

I, again, forgot to bring my camera which was sooooo not-me. So gotta rely on others, they had posted it on FB and everybody is still trading cruel jokes here and there hehehe...

All in all, I love my x-klasmate and wud love to see them again.

btw, I love how A1za decorated her house. Natural deco (not keras or too teratur mcm nk masuk majalah, u know) and homey.....UPDATE : Aiza came to my house last Sat nite sambil2 bwk slingback anak dara aku yg t'tinggal last week. Bravo for being adventurous enough to enter jalan yg gelap gulita and redah bukit yg gelap jua sbb lampu jalan all gone kaput. She reached the house around 9pm and left around 2.30am !! Best gila sembang....layan nasik minyak & kepok leko pastu dari teh 'o', jadik teh tarik pastu sambung kopi...sampai la berkabus kat luar x abis lagi cerita. Hmm...shud do it more..sape sanggup ?

BBQ Raya

Raya pun nak BBQ hehe saja nk teruskan tradisi belah T'ganu where we will have BBQ nite during raya, dulu2 masa kecik2 selalunya bakar satay aje di malam raya, now expand menu masuk ayam + daging. Kat KL kita expand lagi masuk lamb...yummeh.

It's time for us adik beradik to eat together2 (both sides of the family) since masa berbuka jarang nak dpt peluang camtu. Apart from lauk BBQ we had prepared sup tulang and nasi goreng cina. Buah2an tempatan imported from kampung segala duku, manggis, rambutan fresh dari pokok umah atuk (hasilnya sampai harini myvi aku penuh ngan semut hitam, klu time park tgh panas menderu2 dia keluar hahaha). Mari menjamu mata dgn melihat aksi2 BBQ.

On my side, all 4 bros & sis came to help me in the kitchen together2. After Maghrib, Hj Halim entourage came in 2 cars carrying 2 mak buyongs. So, I have 3 mak buyong in the house. I due in Oct, 1 in Nov and the last 1 would be in Apr'11. 3 anak sedare(s) for me hehe. Kata org 3's a crowd. So I'll hold my productionlah...nanti kang Hjh T0n ter'overwhelming' plak.

• Jgn beli arang pesen lama lagi, beli pesen baru dan harus di Carre4
• Sebelum beli sila check harga jgn tertipu ingat 3 hengget sekotak (lalu ambil 3) , adalah rm12 bila bayar

Told ya, it's the baju which was tailored ala-rosmah.

I have no bulges, no flabby arms...it's definitely the baju.

Biggest regret :( I did not capture couple shot of me and hubby di pagi raya nan mulia sbb sumer org bz nak makan and we had guest almost immediately after. Labuci or not, I had to don the apron !! Yet to get a copy of our family shot which may force me to admit in guilty that I in fact is carrying super bulges on my tummy. For now, I'm pretty sure I have none

Salam Aidilfitri di pagi raya ke-4

Selamat hari raya buat semua walopon cita2 nak ucap di malam raya tapi better late than never lah. Malam raya penuh dengan xtvt dapur dan juga acara ke Carre4 m'cari ketuhar gelombang mikro untuk ibu mertua. Ntah apa mimpi kitorang. Pasni carik lg 1 untuk omak guwe pulak..letak di rumah baru :)

Aku cuti 1 week before raya sebab bibik terchenta pulang ke kampung halamannya nun di Bandung sana. She was given 1-week leave only coz I can't afford to let her go for 1 month. Baru tukar dept sesedap rasa plak nak unpaid 1 bulan..manyak canteek

Maka siang malam doa, serba tak kena, risau tahap gaban takut2 terjadi kes pergi tak kembali walopon dia begitu yakin dgn janji2 dia, bibik pastu kembali buk...risau tetap risau, apatah lagi $$ dah kirim 10juta, di tangannya 2juta. Rumah besar sudah abis hutang bank, suami menelepon setiap hari minggu terakhir sebelum kepulangannya..sikit2 sms..kangen sama istri...ceh..dah tau bini duit banyak ko kangen sana sini, dulu sedap2 ko kawen lain x kontek sampai la tau bini nak balik bawak duit juta2...debik kang !! Yang penting she came back yesterday. Yippee...no matter how vengang & geram at times I still need her service : laundry, mopping, vacuuming & all so that I can concentrate on more important chores like feeding the house, layan bdk2 & bapak budak. I need my own sweet time jgk for myself.

So what de happening during the break ?

Verangan lah aku konon duk umah 1week nak :

o Cat border pagar
o Buat kuih
o Sort wardrobe kanak2 ribena
o Kerjakan potted gardenku

No 1 & 2 pun x berjaya so yang selebihnya boleh la diabaikan. Hari2 aku kemas rumah & urut dada tgk tinggalan bibik. Baju2 tak berlipat belakang pintu, baju tak bergosok dlm wardrobe. Aku punggah balik susunan groceries aku dan hasilnya macam2 aku jumpa. Barang yg aku konfiden ada dia kata dah takde maka ku beli lagi hasilnya berpaket, bertin2 brg yg terperosok di belakang kabinet. Baru 2 bulan aku tak check dia start main sumbat2 balik dah. Jadinya lepas ni aku nak masak aku tak request dah mcm dulu, aku carik sendirik...ko tinggal kopek bawang je lah bik.

Buat pertama kali jugak kami 'balik kampung' Gombak hahaha bertolak dari Sg Pusu pkl 4.30pm, before pukul 5pm kami dah selamat sampai umah mak dengan beg besar, balang kuih serta baju2 raya yg dah iron. Balik kampung katakan hehe all this while aku gi nolong masak segala tapi malam balik tido kat umah sendiri yg cuma sekangkang gorilla dari situ. Pagi2 pegi sana and malam balik lagi, so kami tak penah overnite kat umah mak sejak dari kawin, even klu abih buat keje after midnite pun gagah jugak balik umah senirik. Maybe sbb kami takde bilik nak landing kot so mcm tak best nak tergedang kat living hall sedangkan umah sendiri x sempat b'peluh dah sampai. Maka tahun ni kami conquer la port depan TV ramai2, keluar semua mak bapak toto..Aku 'raya' 2 hari awal so melepas lagi solat raya. Tapi..depa2 yg pi masjid pun end-up pi 'tgk org solat' sbbnya masjid full to the brim. Ramai tak balik ka ?

1st raya pagi2 bz isi perut sendiri dulu pastu acara 3G ke kampung halaman. Line bz gila, asik sangkut jek. Nothing fancy on 2nd raya. Raya ke-3 kami gi ambik bibik kat LCCT. Lepak umah mak kejap & angkut barang2 nak balik umah sendiri. Cuti raya dah abess kononn...

Tiba2 pagi ni aku tercongok kat opis dah, macam separa sedar. Redah ujan ribut taufan pagi tadi, gila lebat seh ujan kat KL..trimakasih baju ujan GIVI & kasut Cr0cs kesayangan, aku selamat sampai di opis. Basah di luar kering didalam !! Selamat Hari Raya Kawan-Kawan........

My love-hate affairs with...Bibik

We renewed our maid's 2nd year permit last July and increase her salary to rm500. I bought her a return ticket to go back for raya since last year after she promised to continue working for us when the 2 years contract expired. I sent her off 1-week before Eid, she should be back on 3rd raya.

She did.

With that, she now passed all the major test (kids, curi etc) where other maids failed, so for now she's a keep and will be with us for a long time, InsyaAllah. She still have some habits which are hard to break and I have to accept those as part and parcel of having a live-in maid. Give and take. I need your service and you need money. We meet somewhere in the middle. I take it as a test to see how patient I am (and how patient hubby can be having to tahan telinga listening to me pot-pet-ing hehe)

BTW, just before we renewed her permit, I had a serious talk with her after she 'buat perangai' during kenduri bertunang my sis. I stopped talking to her for almost 1 week until I lost it and talk to her openly. Knowing me, I can't bring myself to scold or yell to anyone including my maid (Note to myself and hubby : kat anak2 boleh pulak separa yell & full version scold. Change before you lost them to peers). Dalam kepala ayat intonasi gila marah, bila keluar kat mulut..foh feh foh feh...aku ungkit balik janji dia masa awal2 keje, she cried and apologised. I cried and sighed (lega sbb berjaya sampaikan mesej without being very-the-mem-style)

Alhamdulillah, she behaved better and most probably decided to let go a lil it of her 'diva-ness' and I've reminded her not to repeat any 'Neng-Yatimah' scene whenever my family members are around. Apalah yang susahnya duk umah aku ni, all well taken care of including your perasaan...silalah bersyukur wahai bibik ku. Aku juga kena bersyukur especially bila dengar citer2 ngeri bibik opismate & kawan2. Contohnya bibik yg mengompol sepender majikan & ntah siapa2 lagi, bibik yg menyorokkan henpon serta duit disebalik kepala katil, not to mention yang cabut tinggal anak2 kat rumah dan lagi dan lagi
