It's Out and She's Out

Before school holiday started and UPSR result announced, I've submitted an application to place Hanis in one of the SBP specifically SEMASHOR. My koliq buzzed me about that (Thanx CikSuhart1la), her son got a place @ SESMA, KT, my ex-best friend's alma mater. Good school esp for those who loves sports. 

Hanis didn't make it.

My heart did sank at that moment but then I remember that things happen for a reason. 

At first we decided not to tell her because it was announced on the day we were @ Leg0land, dowan to spoil her mood la. But then she noticed me and hubby looking at the phone and discussing something. In the end we decided to let her know.

She's cool about that. Hehe That's my doter, ibu yg over sebona eh...

Based on info from frenzz, we may not be appeling to the decision via e-rayuan because we are hoping for MRSM, by appealing to SBP we are reducing her chance of getting into MRSM. That is according to tips semoga betullah tips itu. SBP selection process does take into account the school which the candidate went to. My doter happens to be a private school leaver, so even with 5A + impressive co-curriculum records, it does not give her any advantage over top scorer with less co-curriculum list from SK. 

So, still on school related stuffs. This weekend is the final weekend for us to do last minute back-to-skool shopping. Hannah kepoh bag sekolah blom beli. Beg-pink-ada-tayar, no less ! Adan pakai beg lama coz it's still good, mau tak goodnya tajuk pun dah Nike, pakai la ko smpai skolah menengah. Along is looking for purple-shade bag, she gave her GirlsGirlsGirls' bag to her kazen. Uniform-wise, Hannah needs more tudung, Adan needs baju melayu and pants. Shoes & socks done. The most anticipated part..STATIONERYYYY, mana lagi...Mydin tersayang wlopon hubby sudah hint mau pigi Pustaka Rakyat dekat rumah. Situ best & besar gakla tapi harga pun besar, kalau dah beli stock 6 bulan sgtla terasa kebesaran harganya...so will pout my lips and 

Sambil-sambil tu, doakan Hanis dapat MRSM ye, yang part ni maybe akan ku rayu sungguh2, mak kempunan nak masuk MRSM kecik2 dulu nyah, kalau tak dapat then she'll be closely monitored by Cikgu Hasni kat SMK GombakSetia hahahaha

She was in jovial mode on her trial day, 3 jam memang la ok. Still very happy and excited on the 1st morning. My last entry showed how she was beaming like a sunflower. 6pm on the same day, teacher said she cried, very lady-like kinda crying katanya, airmata saje meleleh tanpa bunyi2an, bila di tanya kenapa. Jawabnya 'Kenapa dah malam pun ibu tak datang ambik ?' *tepuk dahi*. It was dark & raining so she assumed it is already night time and ibu yet to pick her up. She had her milk in car and we reached home 7pm++

2nd day, she was happy and promised not to cry. I picked her before 6pm, teacher said she cried earlier (stail nangis masih sama, sopan dan tidak mengganggu orang awam) coz her classmate said 'eh, hari dah malam la'. She denied that she cried. She said 'Hannah tak nangis la, air mata je keluar !!'. oooooook, airmata keluar tak sama dengan nangis. got that. She had some pancakes & biscuits in car, we reached home almost 7.30pm.

The whole weekend she said she's done with yellow school, she wanted to go to back to her red school.*the colors refer to her school uniform*. Asked bibik to prepare both uniforms for Monday. Woke her up on Monday and she said she wanted to go to new school, aiyark adik ni...sib baik ibu dh standby siap2, so ibu just buat pesanan khidmat masyarakat kat cikgu2 dia to give her a chance to be outdoor at least 15min coz that was her main complaint. Picked her at 6.15pm. She did not cry and she's very happy. Rupanya, they had rock climbing session. Patutla la happy sgt. I thot that would help her to make the decision which school she likes most.

Unfortunately, the rock climbing session is not enough to sway her to like the new school 100%. After long discussions [ it's amazing how a 5yo can actually handle a discussion, luv it ] in the car on our way back home, what I can conclude is that, she loves the place merely for the facilities esp. the outdoor one like gym, rock climbing and all but she couldn't accept the fact that she will be confined to her classroom most of the days.

She was raised with routine that was totally different. All her life, 5.30pm is outdoor time even when she was a baby. My maid will make sure she goes out unless it's raining or she's not well. Same goes to my other children. That was also the reason why I was, at first, having 2nd thought about sending her there but the facilities are just superb and the fee is sooo damn cheap op kos I would be tempted to send her there.

The childcare is superb, facilities are amazing and the teachers are compassionate. But no matter how canggih the facilities are you can't stop a girl from feeling unhappy after being confined inside her canggih class for the whole day, especially a girl name NurHannahRaudah...who loves to ride a bike and running while screaming like a mad-lady every single afternoon.

That is not the single reason why we have to pull out but, there are few practical issues which were only revealed once we registered. I'm not the 1st one who pulled my kid out . Other reason ? Can only be explained secara 'live dari konti cik kiah'.

Rewind balik...nilah entry yang sepatutnya dihaplod tapi terbantot dek our pre-mature withdrawal, bantal & selimut dia pun still kat sana. Hehe. Apa cerita yang tak sempat upload ?? Ni dia. My opis punya childcare center utk anak2 dr lepas pantang sampai la 6 tahun. Untuk Hannah kira sekolah + day care la. So maleh nak cerita panjang, tapi kalau jadi korang pun aku rasa terlioq jugak nak hantaq anak pi sana. [Dd, aku rasa tempat ni seshuai sangat ngan Gebus sbb sumer anak2 yg dh biasa duk daycare/nursery sangat happy lappy gumbira di sana]

Tak koser nak berenti tepi jalan snap gambo bangungan itu, so inilah modelnya. Like so humongosourous. The moment Hannah nampak she said ' Macam hotel laaa..' & she so loves hotel. Love la sangat ye dik, 4 hari hmmmph :P

Sedang beramas-mesra, seating arrangement will be changed on daily basis, you have to find a place where the teacher put your name on [see that small piece of yellow card in front of them]


These are their beds, stacked when not in -use. It's a mesh, not a hard plastic board. All students must bring their own blanket, pillow or whateva teddy bears or dolls.


We left Hannah to survive on her own hahaha [oops ter'evil' jap]. Abang mengetest tempat ambik wudhu' just outside the class.

Where Hannah rolled and ran and jumped and did her acrobatic moves. At least she experienced it once before she quits.

Objective gambar ni bukannya budak tudung hijau tapi nak tunjuk location tempat ni dgn opis gue. Opis gue dibelakang bangunan yang dekat kepala budak itew. Yang tinggi & sayup2 tu bangunan SeeAiAmBee sebelah S0g0.

Playground yang buatkan aku tergetik2 nak turun main giant tic-tac-toe + snake & ladder.

Lari turun bawah nak tengok tp pintu kunci & my access card x lepas, only teachers allowed :P

Other places in the centre yang aku tak sempat merayau & snap the real pic, but the concept was displayed during their briefing earlier which I managed to snap with my AiPong. I heard from my colleagues who toured the whole Centre that all were as as real as in display. Ohsem.

I have my Saturday back !!

Last Saturday, aku sit for the final exam kat UIA.

Final as in final. Terakhir. No more. Tak ada lagi.

No more classes on Saturday, no more marbeles nasik lemak with sambal sotong-pedas-nak-mampus-tapi sedap, no more test on 3rd week, no more assignment, no more exam in Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Law or is it HarunM.Hashim ? A faculty with interesting room's name. AlSarakhsi,AlShirazi sampai pernah silap bilik exam...

Now waiting for the result & convo !!

Yippee, I have my Saturday back...so, where to go friends ?

Dalam kelam-kabut berjaya jugak aku pegi shopping keperluan sekolah anak2. Borong style enough to last them for at least 4-6mths depending on how frequent Hannah will be ransacking my stationery box.

New unipom for both Along & Adan. Rolls and rolls of book wrapper (yes, I am that old-skool) and stack of rulers, scissors, erasers and many many type of colors (got crayon, pencil, oil pastel blabla)

As usual, rule of the house, breakfast is a MUST and drinks would be either Milo or milk. Muka ceria sbb semua excited nk start tugas baru and dpt baju baru.

How fast time flies, Hanis is oredi 11 years old, another year and she'll be in secondary school. I'm not prepared to let my baby go just yet.

Adan looks handsome in his prefect uniform ( ignore the color). He's 9 and growing.

But that day was another special day as my youngest now officially entered the school-age, Along and Adan had been through many many 1st day of school but 3 Jan 2011 was Hannah's real 1st day of school.

Babah couldn't join the merry-ness as he gotta give way to his colleague who need to send off his 1st born to school. I tumpang-ed my neighbor to send her off and later pick her up myself.

Make sure that she had her milk and heavy breakfast as school would only provide snack during break. Knowing Hannah, snack won't be enuff so I packed her some cereal and cookies apart from plain water.

Now that all of them are growing up so fast, I do feel that I haven't done my best, there were many many moments which I regret that it happend and many many moment which I cherished. Something that I wished and planned but failed to execute. I can just hope that I would be a better parent to them and would be the one who they will turn to during good and bad times.

Ibu and babah love you all so so so much, nothing compares...

Uwaaaa...tukar uniform lagik

Masak la kitorang, asik tukar uniform jek keje korang ye..

Ceritanya, in May we had to buy new sets of uniform for the kids after we transferred them to the new school. Uniform sekolah kebangsaan and sekolah agama.

Along was disappointed as she was a Librarian for old school, to her it's like being 'turun pangkat' to which I encouraged her to show the best attitude and academic to be chosen again in new school. While Adan elated because he don't have to wear the suffocating school-tie. Bibik was happy as well coz the shoes and socks are now = black

What happen was, we received this today

Hanis was originally selected to be a prefect, but she was sick on the day of interview and missed the chance. We thought she would not be having any title next year until this afternoon, she got this letter of appointment. She's now a librarian...again...

But, the most unthinkable of all, is this

Ibu : Tapi...kalau yg ganas tu gemuk, dia tiup abang sure terbang kan ?
Adan : alaaaaaaaa ibu niiiiiii...

So let's go uniform hunting and find dark pink pants + baby pink shirt + pink baju melayu + dark pink sampin for the keding boy and for kakak light yellow tudung + baju kurung + brown kain. Kamdar, your profit is about to increase by 0.0001%.

Cuti-Cuti Sekolah 2011

Very the important dates when you have 2 schoolchildren in da house.

Acara jalan-jalan carik pasal relies on these dates. Not because we only travel during those dates but most importantly, we want to avoid it hehe ya lor, can jimat on hotels and no need to brave crowds. Stuffs oso cheaper maa.

2011 will be our last year for us to ajar anak play truant (bad ibu, bad babah haipp!!). 2012 will see us doing domestic stuffs :P

New Month, New School

It's been so challenging having to manage 2 'working houses', our new house in SgPusu and the old haven in Kerdas.

Kenapa still maintain rumah lama ? Sebab anak2 blom dpt tukar sekolah lagi. So the routine was...we had all baju bajan & keperluan harian kat rumah lama but no fridge, washing machine or TV. Malam aku masak & pack everything. Pagi2 angkut semua skali, drop Hanis kat sekolah, drop Adan kat umah IL sbb Tok Wan yg hantar dia gi skolah agama. Drop Hannah & bibik kat umah lama & rempit berdua ke opis. After office, klu takde Kumon balik rumah terus. Kumon day (Tue & Fri), I'll shop for groceries or apa2 urusan kedai while waiting for them to finish their class. We reached home mostly around 8pm & 10pm on Kumon days. Exhausted gile but I still have to cook for the next day and life goes on...(dalam ati >> nape aku tak kurus ek ? )

Panjang mukadimahnye...(typical me hehe)

After 'harassing' JA!S officer via calls and visit, we managed to get them placed in SRA Integrasi Sg Chinch1n starting May 2010. Alhamdulillah. It's a gamble since the school is not a goverment school nor 'bestari' whatsoever. Chances of them getting into SBP is also lower or none at all ('kabel' diperlukan) but apart from convenience of 1 session school (syllabus sek. keb + sek. ag in 1 school), we also want them to have some playtime instead of 7am-7pm spent in school compound.

It's been depressing seeing Adan dropped his super heavy schoolbag and slumped on sofa with heavy breath and sometimes fell asleep while removing his shirt. Most of the time he came back with fever which will get away after few hours. When I asked our family doctor, she said, the energy needed for daily routine was too much for his frail body, his body is sending the signal via fever, to say I'm tired, I'm over-worked. Along had no physical issue but she was grumpy and get annoyed easily everytime she came back from school. So klu nak b'gurau lebih2, sila tunggu few hours after..

So on 3 May 2010, both of us took leave for royal send-off. Senyum lebar la semuanya (termasuk bibik, kurang la sket kena marah sbb manjang lupa & tertinggal walopon dh pesan b'kali2).

My neighbor will be sending them daily (yay! for Wan & Babah)

School starts 7.30am - 4.00pm (Yay! for bibik)

Black shoes & socks (yay ! for ibu & bibik)

No tie (yay! for Adan)

Not much ko-k (nay! for both)

Both were dissappointed to be placed in the last class instead of the top one esp. Hanis (mmg both of them kelas A all this while, tetiba kesedihan dpt kelas belakang hehe). I told then to prove it in final exam, else you'll be stuck in that class for another year.

Menu sepanjang tahun, not bad for rm50/mth (inc. teatime for Std 1-3)

We'll make do with whateva we have for now and will do whatever needed to be done. Ibu and babah had to work harder in monitoring their academic progress. Hope we'll get the best from this new change. InsyaAllah.

Ekceli bukan aku takde brokbeng, adaaaa...manjang dpt HSDPA lps aku barter trade ngan SIL, dia pakai aku nyer Max1s. Cuma aku x sempat nak duk bersimpuh reka ayat or mengedit gambar2...blog ni klu ko dh pencen sekejap punya la payah nak start balik...

So sementara aku ada masa ni baik update apa yg patut.

Baru lps packing nk fly to KK esok. Our 1st trip to the Land Beneath the Wind for 5D4N. The trip will start quite early coz we planned to hop on LRT to Sentral and board the Skybus to LCCT. Gonna have lunch over there (dgn harapan kanak2 tidak mengorder food di awan biru, walopon chances agak tipis haha) before boarding.

We rented Saga BLM @rm100/day from BNM KK staff, he'll pick and send us off to the airport. 1st night gotta lepak in Pacific Sutera coz it's too late to drive to Kundasang, 2nd night in Kinabalu Pine and the other 2 nights in Magellan Sutera. Hope all went well. We skipped Nexus & Manukan coz I think both worth an exclusive visit. A brief stay won't be enough. So anybody want to join us and get to stay at the hotels at a discounted rate ?

Allright...update on what happened last weekend.

Nothing much hehe

Except for acara sukan tahunan sekolah on Sunday. Kali ni ibu ada geng, Cikgu Hasni pagi2 suda tunggu dekat padang dgn Hannah mau tunggu acara..apa ek ? baling pundi kacang ? ke bawak pundi kacang ? ada lupa jugaa...

Hanis participated in 4 x200m and they begged the 3rd place. Acara dah buat siap2 on Friday..hmm not bad. Sentimental event for babah..he was a runner for the same event satu ketika dolu...

On Sunday all she need to do just KAWAD KAKI for PBSM...umang aiii panas mak oiii.......Hanis pun sama garing..mana taknya berlatih dari bulan Jan..tgh panas rembang...

Tapi ibu tak dapat cuti to celebrate with both of you. Lucky babah was there. Hari Anugerah Cemerlang on 17th Nov.

Congrats to both of you. Tho tak dapat Top 3 but it's ok as long as I can see all A's in the report card.

Along was 6th in her class, but 8th for overall Year 3 (out of almost 300 students)

Adan was 5th in his class and overall for Year 1 (about 300 students as well). He was top student for Bahasa Arab wakakaka mana mari ni ? tiba2 x ngaku skolah agama

Both Year 3 & Year 1 got 7 (Yes..SEVEN) classes each. From Amanah up to Gemilang with about 40 students per class. Damn crowded..

You two have done well in your exam. Ibu and babah will try to improve the 'revision system' next year. No more last minute study or night before exam kinda revision. errkk dah beranak pinak pun mcm x leh nak ilang tebiat study last min ni, bahaya nih...
