Hehe it's your birthday my boy Adan, ibu & babah sayang Adan to the 90 infinity (bak kata adik).

On your actual birthdate there were so many occasions. Sekolah Adan ada buat hari buku or something where team Kuntum visited and everybody given a copy of the latest mag. Adan made a joke, it's in conjuction with his birthday so everyone gets a copy as a gift konon2 from him hehe c.u.t.e

On the same date, adik aka Hannah pulak kalut dengan fieldtrip ke RabbitFunLand (kena google sbb until now aku tak tau kat manakah tempat ni). 

I was on very tight deadline and came back home almost 11pm that day, Adan ran out sambil senyum2 & buat gaya tadah tangan. He almost cried when I said, sorry abang ibu belum beli present lagi but he just hugged me & obviously forcing a smile. *guilty tahap unbelievable coz mmg tak sempat plan what to buy for him*. The kids waited for me before cutting the small birthday cake that hubby bought earlier, immediately after sumer Zzzz cause it's wayy over their bedtime. That was Wed, his actual birthday.

He did the same on Thu only to be disappointed again as I haven't had time to buy his present and I don't want to buy anything for the sake of buying. We were not home Friday night. I called him and told him that we will pick everybody up tomorrow morning to celebrate at his preferred place, Chilis with special request = Happy Birthday Song from staff hehe wish granted but stilll no birthday present, by that time I just observe him and he sort of accepted the fact that we didn't buy him anything and the makan2 is in fact is his present.

Dah full, we left KayElCC and brought the kids to Shangri-La (ada cerita yang nak diceritakan tentang ini hehe). 

Masa Adan dok syiok2 lepak kat bilik & still excited sbb he considered that as part of his celebration, we took out the present and he still couldn't stop sengih sampai telinga and belek-ing the gift half an hour after, still over the moon. That was the best reaction we have ever seen from him. He totally didn't expect it just like Hanis when she got her henpon. Priceless. So, abang...you still want you Transformers and Lego set or you want to keep this present ? 

Panggil nama baru angkat muka, else fixated on his new gadget sambil sengih2 sorang haha

Wahai anakku MuhammadHaniff Rashdan, semoga Allah terus merahmati anakku ini dengan rahmat dan rezekiNya. Happy Birthday. Amiin.

His new drugs routine - Part Dos

Tibalah hari di mana ibu penuh nervous bawak anak terunanya melalui 1 lagi episod mari-lepak-di-ampang-puteri. CT Scan. Malam before tu dia cool je bila tengok gambar cemana rope mesin ctscan neh, ibunya pun cool jugak. Menten.

Pagi2 sudah beratur di unit radiologi, perut lapar tapi harus scan dulu pastu baru sapedek. Both of us were still cool. Menten.

"MuhammadHaniffRashdan" awek radiologi panggil, bangun pegang tangan bersama-sama masuk dalam, duduk di sofa tengok gambar2 scan. Snap. Pose. Cool Menten.

Awek radiologi datang dengan kertas, cerita ceriti pasal prosedur and dropped the bomb !! "Kita kena masukkan contrast utk memudahkan reading, antara side effect dia mungkin allergic macam gatal2..blablabla....sign sini ye kak". I read and I signed. Tak cool but menten.

As we entered the room, the boy can see the biiiiiig syringe prepared &  how much liquid would be inserted into his body. From thereon, it's no longer cool and my heart sank seeing his pale face and his look as if saying "Ibu, can we not do this ?" *Ayaq mata*. Not cool. Ibu can't menten oredi.

His wrist was strapped to make it easier to spot the vein yang nak kena poke tuh, but I can see it's too tight cos the buckle was biting and sunk into his skin. Very very not cool cos the guy duk concentrate cari vein while my boy seething in pain because his skin is bitten by the buckle menatang yg strap the wrist. I know it's too tight sebab mak pun penah masuk spital nyah. Sejuk tangan & putih kuku anak teruna mak darah x ngalir. Vein dah timbul macam anaconda mengawan dalam paya lagi duk belek2, tunggu apa lagi bro...

Ni post event dah, yg pre tak sempat sbb memoriku in denial *hilang ingatan* :P

Tidak kiddo-friendly ini orang sbb keep on saying jangan gerak nanti keluar darah, 1x, 2x, 3x dan lagi dan lagi. Sib baik Adan tak cakap 'I no stupid...' hehe. Tak cool. 

"Akak tak preknen kan ?" Soklan yang tulus lagi jujur tapi kedengaran seperti ada yang tak kena, mak check perut buncit mak, oh mungkin sebab itu tapi mungkin juga itu soalan wajib bila berurusan dengan radiasi. *Tarik napas tahan seperti iklan terimakasseh tummytrim*. Hmm ok apa. So, mak anggap soalan itu soalan wajib tiada kaitan dengan penampilan. Sekian. Cool. 

Scan hanya berapa saat tapi traumanya sampai sekarang terbayang esp. bila Adan pegang tangan kuat2 and said "Sejuk ibu...", he was shaking & trembling throughout the session and I was trying my best holding my tears & biting my lips so he can't see me melted and he can be brave. Adan cool, ibu tak cool 10x.

He is brave indeed and a cool little guy as he was back to his happy self right almost immediately especially after his regular cup of hot chocolate @ R1tazzaCafe.

Next, the coolest of all >> DrAminuddin said, based on the scan, his sinusitis & allergies can be controlled via medication. All 4 chambers are clear. No surgery needed. Yayyyy. That's really cool Doc.

Only to be given not so cool news >> He need to be referred to Pediatric again as his chest was making not so good sounds. So off we go to DrNasir.

The trip ended with us totting 2 big plastic bags as is we just came out from grocer. Finish all those and come back to see DrNasir in 2 weeks time, Dr Amin in 2 mths time. Whateva it takes, my boy is still the coolest. Hahaha mak over ke nyah ?

Kau ada ? 15ml sekali teguk ada, 10ml pun ada, pill pun ada, spray tidak ketinggalan.

*Masih confius dengan explanation awek radiologi yang mengatakan bila contrast injected, badan akan rasa panas, but Adan said he felt very very cold that is why his body was shaking throughout

*Quite a traumatic 15-min session for both of us. So CTScan is not a straightforward kinda procedure as I've expected even after tanya enGugel beforehand

Adan is 8 EIGHT LAPAN..lapan lagi

We had small & simple gathering for makan-makan among family members to celebrate Adan's 8th birthday. Invited our next door neighbors to join. We had nasik ayam (the easiest menu to handle)

Adan made a surprise. He invited his classmate without telling us !! Lucky 1,2 org jek...I mean, he just moved to the new school like 1 week ago. 1 of them who happen to stay nearby, turned up with his sister and ... of coz, presents. So aku ransack the kitchen to find goodie packs. Sib baik mmg ada standby, Ben10 lagi hehe aku sumbat la all cookies and muffin yg ada kat rumah tu nak cukupkan 10 pack. Bertuah punya Adan, x kasik warning langsung kat ibu.

Happy birthday to you Adan, ibu x pandai nak bermadah or nak buat poem untuk menyatakan kasih sayang ibu pada anak2 tapi kasih ibu untuk selamanya. Doa ibu untuk Adan siang dan malam...may Allah bless us.

No present for you on the day as you had requested for bigger Optimus Prime which I couldn't find yet. (Update : He got his optimus on 17 June)

SURAH AL-FURQAN(25) AYAT 74

New Month, New School

It's been so challenging having to manage 2 'working houses', our new house in SgPusu and the old haven in Kerdas.

Kenapa still maintain rumah lama ? Sebab anak2 blom dpt tukar sekolah lagi. So the routine was...we had all baju bajan & keperluan harian kat rumah lama but no fridge, washing machine or TV. Malam aku masak & pack everything. Pagi2 angkut semua skali, drop Hanis kat sekolah, drop Adan kat umah IL sbb Tok Wan yg hantar dia gi skolah agama. Drop Hannah & bibik kat umah lama & rempit berdua ke opis. After office, klu takde Kumon balik rumah terus. Kumon day (Tue & Fri), I'll shop for groceries or apa2 urusan kedai while waiting for them to finish their class. We reached home mostly around 8pm & 10pm on Kumon days. Exhausted gile but I still have to cook for the next day and life goes on...(dalam ati >> nape aku tak kurus ek ? )

Panjang mukadimahnye...(typical me hehe)

After 'harassing' JA!S officer via calls and visit, we managed to get them placed in SRA Integrasi Sg Chinch1n starting May 2010. Alhamdulillah. It's a gamble since the school is not a goverment school nor 'bestari' whatsoever. Chances of them getting into SBP is also lower or none at all ('kabel' diperlukan) but apart from convenience of 1 session school (syllabus sek. keb + sek. ag in 1 school), we also want them to have some playtime instead of 7am-7pm spent in school compound.

It's been depressing seeing Adan dropped his super heavy schoolbag and slumped on sofa with heavy breath and sometimes fell asleep while removing his shirt. Most of the time he came back with fever which will get away after few hours. When I asked our family doctor, she said, the energy needed for daily routine was too much for his frail body, his body is sending the signal via fever, to say I'm tired, I'm over-worked. Along had no physical issue but she was grumpy and get annoyed easily everytime she came back from school. So klu nak b'gurau lebih2, sila tunggu few hours after..

So on 3 May 2010, both of us took leave for royal send-off. Senyum lebar la semuanya (termasuk bibik, kurang la sket kena marah sbb manjang lupa & tertinggal walopon dh pesan b'kali2).

School starts 7.30am - 4.00pm (Yay! for bibik)

Black shoes & socks (yay ! for ibu & bibik)

No tie (yay! for Adan)

Not much ko-k (nay! for both)

Both were dissappointed to be placed in the last class instead of the top one esp. Hanis (mmg both of them kelas A all this while, tetiba kesedihan dpt kelas belakang hehe). I told then to prove it in final exam, else you'll be stuck in that class for another year.

Menu sepanjang tahun, not bad for rm50/mth (inc. teatime for Std 1-3)

We'll make do with whateva we have for now and will do whatever needed to be done. Ibu and babah had to work harder in monitoring their academic progress. Hope we'll get the best from this new change. InsyaAllah.
