Al-Fatihah

Sedekah to my friend's mother who passed away today after she regained her consciousness from a coma state.

Semoga Allahyarhamah ditempatkan dikalangan mereka yang diberkati. Amin

Takziah buat Izam who lost his beloved mother.

When batuk paid us a visit

uhuk uhuk cough cough

Hannah is having her first coughing experience, it doesn't sound good. Another visit to the clinic before it got worse.

Child nowadays are so fragile, bronchitis and pneumonia are common and I don't want to spend my nights in Ampang Puteri anymore, the last episode left a bitter taste till now.

Cure for Office Blues

In my inbox this morning..hehee

BABY FAT ?
When I was six months pregnant with my third child, my three year old came into the room when I was just getting ready to get into the shower. She said, "Mommy, you are getting fat!" I replied, "Yes honey, remember Mommy has a baby growing in her tummy." "I know," she replied, "but what is growing in your butt?"

MY FOOTSTEPS ?
An acquaintance of mine, who is a physician, told this story about her then four year old daughter. On the way to preschool, the doctor had left her stethoscope on the car seat, and her little girl picked it up and began playing with it. Be still, my heart, thought my friend, my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps! Then the child spoke into the instrument: "Welcome to McDonald's. May I take your order?"

A WISE LITTLE GIRL
A certain little girl, when asked her name, would reply, "I'm Mr. Sugarbrown's daughter." Her mother told her this was wrong, she must say,"I'm Jane Sugarbrown." The Vicar spoke to her in Sunday School and said, "Aren't you Mr. Sugarbrown's daughter?" She replied, "I thought I was, but mother says I'm not."

TOO ROUGH
A little girl asked her mother, "Can I go outside and play with the boys?" Her mother replied, "No, you can't play with the boys, they're too rough. The little girl thought about it for a few moments, and asked, "If I can find a smooth one, can I play with him?"

Bills oh Bills

Dang....one glance at the bills I received this month....I knew, I forgot to do my pay-day-routine.

I forgot to pay my bills !! (except for Maxis) How come ?? My 1st time....guilty!!

Now I understand why banks have come up with a very friendly reminder such as "Kami memahani kesibukan anda, mungkin anda terlupa bla bla..sila abaikan notis ini sekiranya bayaran telah di buat"

Hehe now take that...sungguh tidak best melihat angka di bahagian Tunggakan.

Sukan Tadika Amal 2007

Another overdued picture

For 3rd Consecutive year, here we are in IIUM Stadium for ANOTHER sports carnival. Another year to go...

It was the 1st sports event for Adan and he got to wear his favorite color i.e. RED. He was beaming with colors...though started the day with a sleepy-eyes-mode.

Boring, huh ?

Chaos for teachers and busy-body parents as well

Auwww, the face...that's definitely anak Hazman

So that's the end for Si Buta yang memimpin kawannya. Hehe As usual sumer org dapat medal, sungguh la bijak bistari cikgu2 dia.

Our Secret Recipe Day

One of our hangout place

Can't remember the date but if you notice Hanis is still wearing her uniform while having dinner, pity them kids...

Checking on her cheesy choc cake

I just eat, dont care one

Hey...mana adik punya ?

Alphabet fries for me, the burger ? Ibu & babah la..

Adan nak dia punya flags je..huhu

The One who wallop everybody's portion, I tell u man, she can eat.

There we go again...

Last Sat, went to see our paediatrician for Hannah's MMR jap and brought along the brother as requested by her during our last visit. Hanis got her Kem Bestari Solat, the finale.

The Dr said that Adan is not healing well and need another shot of monitoring, as expected hehe. She want him to be fully healed before he's 7 y.o. He still have the wheezing sound and you can feel the vibration when he's breathing. So we went back with a bag full of his medication enough for 2 months until next visit. Now I need to recall where do I put his aero chamber. Think think

Kesian my little boy but better do it now or else he will carry it for lifetime. That's bronchopneumonia. Lucky for us he never had an asthma attack, just some refuse-to-go phlegm and coughing here and there.

So Ampang Puteri, here we come...every 2 months and to my HR, here's my GL request...hehe.

20 July 2007 - My Giorgio Armani Day

I'm officially 32 ooopss 32 .

Somebody asked me, how doest it feel to be 30-sumthing ? Ooooo....How do I answer THAT KIND of QUESTION.

I think I'll let her do the 'feeling-thing' when she herself reached there.

In fact I feel GOOD....imagine NTV7.

I have what I needed most (except for some items in IKEA's 2007 catalog)

The Legacy : NILA

NILA

I dont noe what do they call it in english, dye ? cannot be...those who know can help me with the vocab.

So, why suddenly talking about this blue liquid ? I thought that my routine of nila-ing all my white garments (once in a while) is as a NORMAL one until someone laughed at me when I told them that I was busy doing it during the weekend.

Hey...white shirts deserve a nila, ok !! No ??

People, do you still nila all your white garments ? Please tell me you that you do....because shops are still selling bottles of it (or the block - this one kena tapis maa)

Never mind if you don't, I will keep this legacy

Guilty & Forgotten Birthday Post - Part 2

His 5th birthdate, 9th May 2006 was on schoolday so we 'assumed' that he will agree to our plan i.e. celebrate it with his friend at school. We'll prepare the food, goodies bags and all. How wrong our assumption was.

He said that he will have it at home. With his neighborhood friends not the one at school. I was discharged from Ampang Puteri about 2 hours before with a definitely-visible-swollen face and they wanted a birthday party. Shud I slap my face or theirs ?

Not to dissapoint him, we had to freeze all the resources and managed to pull it. We rushed to get his 'dream cake', no Secret Recipe cakes can lawan this special ONE. Nenek to prepare some bihun and desserts. Bibik (masa tu belum balik lg) to do the invitations and we had a birthday party the next day on Sunday. Fuhhh...

THE cake : Speed..I'm Speed

The Friends

THE Boy

The Most Awaited PRESENT

Guilty & Forgotten Birthday Post - Part 1

Errk...somehow, after looking at my post list, I noticed that there was no mention of the ONLY SON's birthday in May.

Ok, this is the qada' post specially dedicated to him. Guilty. So I'll do in 2 parts

My 2nd baby arrived in a special way, he was forced and 'hand-delivered' by the gynae due to his weak & faint heartbeat. He came in a perfect package that weight 3.2kg on 9th May 2002. Due to his earlier condition, he had to be in the incubator and on his 3rd day, our paediatrician dropped a bomb that left me numb.

My son was born with a medical condition called tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF/TOF)whereby there is atypical connection between the esophagus (food pipe) and trachea (wind pipe). The medical team had to remove the connection to prevent food from entering the lungs, which may cause repeated episodes of pneumonia. That was a nuclear to me. But I was cool and called hubby as well as my HR (on medical coverage), not a single tears until I went back to my room and the moment the nurse touched my shoulder and said 'Sabar ye kak', that's when I broke down.

I had the worst Mother's Day that year as they wheeled him to the OT, thanx to the nurse who let me meet him at the entrance for a kiss and hug, as if he knew, he opened his eyes and looked at me, even the nurses can't handle that moment and openly cried with me.**dont cry, don't cry**

He was in there for more than 4 hours and later transferred to the NICU (Neonatal ICU) for close observation. I went there few times a day and have to fight my C-Sec pain so that I can stand next to his 'box' and touch him. He looked so fragile and weak with all those wires poking everywhere, blood flowing down from 1cm tube attached to his back and the beep beep sounds from the machines made it even worse. Every single visitor stopped by and some gave me a much needed hugs. After almost 6 days, I had to leave him there. No words can describe my feeling...I had to endure the emotional part and go to hell with the pantang. I went there almost everyday with a hope than I can breastfeed him. Not a single chance. The milk supply dried...and I cried.

After 1 week, the hospital called and asked for a breast milk to be delivered. How am I going to do that ? I've none...but Allah Maha Besar, I said my prayer and finished don't-know-how-many glasses of ANMUM and soy bean throughout the night and the next day 5oz were delivered to the NICU and I cried again.

He recovered after 18 days and I held him for the 1st time. Free of poking wires. Thank a gazillion to my family who was my pillar of strength during that trying moment. Thank you to my friends who prayed for his health. Thank you to my employer who fully borne the medical cost. Thank you to the medical team of Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital led by Dr Amin Tai, the paediatrician surgeon and Dr Haliza, our paediatrician for giving him the best medical option. We are still a regular at APSH, though. Alhamdulillah syukur.

My boy is 5 now, even though he's plagued with a lungs related problems, many rounds of physio a.k.a tepuk/sedut, nebuliser a.k.a dragon, 24-hrs oxygen mask, warded in Hi-Dependency and tons of medications, he's now growing into a loving and cheeky boy, MY BOY though brutal if provoked.
Gambar later yek, blom sempat scan la, masa tu x dak digicam lagik...

Where FOOD is concern

So, agak2 bila lapar, where do you head to ?

These are the places that will automatically pop up everytime we think of eating out of tapau-ing some food esp. dinner. Not an 'elite' places, though. Semua area2 dekat rumah je...
  • Nasi Ayam Mencongkam, Jalan Gombak (get the ayam garing version + apple juice, yum yum)
  • Hometown Yong Tau Foo, Ampang or W.Maju ( I so love the stuffed ladiesfinger)
  • Restoran Ayamas, C4 W.Maju (percik pleease)
  • Restoran Pha Pha Garden, Melawati (Thai food)
  • Gee's Seafood, Sri Gombak (kerang bakar is a must)
  • Pizza Hut, next to C4 W.Maju (chicken wing at least 8)
  • Sup Tulang, Taman Melati (don't forget the air bandung tau)
  • Pasar Malam hari Selasa, Taman Melati (my usual dose of authentic nasi kerabu and DVD@RM5 per piece, good quality and boleh tukar)
  • Pasar Malam hari Ahad, Jalan Gombak (nice tau foo fah and ayam percik)
  • Mamak - Din's (nasi briyani ayam madu for Adan, their tomyam also marvellous)
  • Sup mamak & popiah basah, Jalan Setapak (roti babu cicah thick soup, slurrp)
  • Nasik Lemak bawah jambatan, dekat balai polis Jln Bandar (next to my office)
  • Tupai-Tupai, Jalan DBP (baby buncis and kacang botol goreng)
  • Roti canai gulai kaki ayam, belakang pejabat pos Gombak
  • Secret Recipe, Plaza Idaman Jln Gombak (calory-rich prawn macaroni cheeeze + apple kasturi)
  • Laksa Shack, Alpha Angle (always go for Laksa Johor and Assam Laksa)
  • Madam Kwan's, KLCC (the fastest = Nasi Bojari, where can I get the teapot serving my hot lemon tea ?)
  • Rumah mak hehe

Obviously McD and KFC will not be there since our visits simply to satisfy the i-must-have-the-toys moment. We'd prefer KFC over McD because all of them kids will eat 'the food' while at McD they'll forget all those longlai fries once the toys unwrapped until I force-feed them with the bubur or nuggets. But all of us are crazy for their sundaes. Our sundaes goes nude, no topping please.

Post Melaka Trip

Sampai rumah dlm 8pm. Sungguh letih sekali. Called my brother to buy some nasi briyani ayam madu. We chomped on dinner and less than 1 hour everybody ‘scattered’ around the living areas and soon followed by few versions of snores.

But mother being a mother can’t help but took the opportunity to do post-traveling laundry while none of the brood clinging to her knees. And tomorrow is Monday a.k.a schoolday. Luckily we decided to get an off day or else I’ll die standing. First thing first, iron all the school uniforms which came about 25 pieces. Masak bubur for Hannah since we have to send her to babysitter after lunch. Checked on Hanis’s timetable, replenished her stationeries, sharpened all her pencils and color pencils. Prepare stok baju budak2 nak bawak pegi rumah nenek & babysitter.

Both of the elder were so happy that Babah was the one who send them off to school that morning which is a rare occasion. Hannah even followed us to Adan’s school before I drop her off at babysitter’s place. Our plan was to bring my family to Laksa Shack in Alpha Angle after sekolah agama around 10.30. Tok Wan is to pickup the 2nd and let him stay over at Tok Wan’s place. We did it. Came back rushing Hanis for her sesi petang. Rush rush rush is the theme of the day.

Both of us went out again, but this time around only 2 of us. We have some naughty plan in mind but decided that Transformers is above all. So, we rushed to the nearest cinema, KLCC la…to catch the earliest show that we can get.

My oh my, I think I watched the movie ternganga from the moment Decepticons made their appearance. And Shia LaBeouf (Sam) was nerdly hilarious. I like the scene whereby all the Autobots trying to hide from Sam’s father. Watch Bumblebee doing the crawling…hehe so cute. I watched the cartoon series religiously when I was a kid and that got me into trouble with some boys who keep on teasing me and saying that I should go play doll and masak2. Don’t be surprise that me and hubby still watching some of the series esp. Justice League. Hidup superheroes hehehe . BTW I hate it when Bumblebee became Camaro because it shud be a VW Beetle hence the cute-ness.

Later, dinner served at my MIL’s place and as her usual ‘takdak apa’ means at least 4-5 dishes. So we had gulai ayam, sup daging, ikan goreng, ikan kering Sabah, masak lemak kuning lobak putih, kacang botol goreng belacan, telur dadar. That’s was the ‘takdak apa’ standard.

Melaka Trip

We reached the Bandaraya Bersejarah at dusk. Checked-in, 2-rooms service apartment, acceptable for RM245 (inclusive of weekend surcharge) to house 11 of us !! Went out again to buy all the bekas, toilettries and what not. Had pizza at Mahkota Parade and the supermarket Gergasi there was a let down.

At 10pm we went hunting for the location of UiTM City Campus guided by a map written in Arabic !! Oh sungguh la menariks lokasinya. Directly opposite the Hang Tuah Mall. There were some khemah and chairs on the road in front of the registration area. Based on that surveillance info we decided that the kids will stay behind until they gets thing settled. By midday, we're on our way to Tesco. My Spectra had his 1st experience in using its bumper to dent another car's bumper. And the car belongs to my DAD. haha All of us had a laugh seeing the already rusty body flaking and falling. I wish I can buy him a new car but that's impossible for the time being.

We dropped our fragile lil sis at her college and back to hi-way, but what is a trip to Melaka without a stop at any of Air Keroh 'attractions', we decided that Taman Buaya is the lucky one. I went there when I was 14 y.o. So we paid RM 36 in total to go and see some 'lazy boya', for the kids la konon. Once we entered the taman we were greeted with a notice board saying that they are having a major renovation so most of the areas were closed. Cisss cisss bedebah sungguh itu taman buaya.

Another major dissappointment is that, the place haven't changed after 18++ years, dari aku Form 2 sampai skrg dah beranak 3, cenggitu la. The only change is that, the crocs were in sorry state compared to my previous visit. Tapi ada sekor tu duduk sebelah stage, gila besar, umang aaiii...tgk bijik mata dia yg timbul pun aku rasa cam lembik lutut. 3- 4metre la lebih kurang. Then I let the uncles to escort Adan & Hanis on the Jurassic Park train. Adan came out shivering but ecstatic but Along had a nightmare, she was crying like no tomorrow. I had to ask everyone not to tease her because she was genuinely freaking out. Kesiannya my princess.

Forgot to mention, right after we went in, my sis called and asking whether her laptop is in the boot. My dear hubby who join us so that he can have some snoring moment on the bench had to drive back to her college and came back after almost 2 hrs. Kesian ayang...

We drove back to KL via exit Serdang just to be greeted by a normal traffic jam. But still ok compared to exit Sg. Besi.

Pre-Melaka Trip

or shud i call the place Malacca ? hehe

24hrs EARLIER

I was in Phileo Damans@ra fighting my droopy eyes listening to mamat vendor babbling bout their new risk aware IP-Asses. Had to snatch my colleague C0ke to refresh. Later went to Semua Haus to get some wedding stuffs, mana lagi..S@yang U la.

Meanwhile, my family had to wait 4 us at the masjid since the normal route to our house was blocked by khemah kenduri. We left the kids with them to get baking stuffs plak. What with this wedding & baking stuffs u might ask. Actually, aku gatal tangan nak menyumbang 1 dulang hantaran. Patutnya order jek the cupcakes tapi last minute the baker x available due to personal reason. No choice, had to do it myself. Masa tu la baru nak hias kotak hantaran bagai, nak bake lagi nak pack brg lagi and the wedding was on Sat morning hahaha. To add to the kelamkabutness, Hannah decided to cry her lungs out in the early morning for i-don't know-how-long. That's my 1st experience with a colic-like cry that left everyone on their toes.

The cut the story short , I managed to run around to get things, singgah for 'berinai' session, bake the cupcakes, decorate it (Dd, thx for the cheeese cream idea, the swirls not as nice as buttercream but the taste was heaven), decorate the kotak hantaran from scratch, pack the bag, do laundry and pressing, console Hannah, clear the sink, fold some clothes, check my sister's supporting docs bla bla before sunrise. The only thing that I missed = SLEEP.

The DAY

We went to the wedding for free lunch and after bergambar amek syarat dgn pengantin, we left for Melaka in 2 cars. As usual, we will stop at any Petronas that has a big Mesra outlet to buy titbits. The damage estimated RM20++. It sucks that I can't reload my Sentuh & Pergi OTC and the ATM decided to shut itself on me.

Hannah, Feliz Cumpleanos!

Hannah is 1

Yes, she is

I've no celebration plan

WE have no plan

We'll definitely do some sort of celebration, that's for sure.

We planned a 'kenduri' to mark this date, but plan is always a plan. The important date clouded with my hectic schedule having my family here in KL as well as handling my sister's registration. We decided to call the kenduri off and plan a proper one in August. Better late than never, right ?
So my dear Nur Hannah Raudah, you're our joy, our sunshine. Have a blast on your 1st anniversary on earth.

We love you Hannah.

And to the others I love you Along, I love you Adan. As you two said, sayang ibu mcm lautan langit muah muah muah (emo...hehe). And to Babah, I will always love you.

Sekolah stuffs

The eldest made us proud.

She managed to do well in school without us breathing at her neck. We rarely sit with her for revision. We only checked for the homework need to be done.

We practised what we are, last minute study maa...the night before exam, I'll sit with her and do some speed reading and pop quiz.

For sekolah agama she's 9th/29 and sekolah kebangsaan 5th/41. That's good enuff for us considering the effort that we took. She did it on her own. Sorry dear, we'll try to improve once our life gets back to a stable routine.

And she's RM20 richer (RM 1 for A and RM 2 for 100%)

Hannah is a walking baby

At last after waiting for more than 3 months, she let her tiny feet to do the 'walk', much awaited 1st step. And she did it while giggling and smiling, obviously trying to show off.

She started 'cruising' the furniture when she was 6 mths, at 9 mths she surprised us with her skill to stand up on her own. According to our family standard, that was fast. Everybody was so sure that she will be walking soon, but that never happened until yesterday, few days before her 1st birthday, 10th July 2007 (that's 10 days before mine hehe) . Itu pun few tiny steps before she dived to the floor.

Seeing that almost reduced me to tears, my baby is no longer a baby, that small tiny baby anymore, she wandered around the house, she ate what we had, she poo-ed a stinky one, and she cried her lungs out.

I can react and feel the same way to every little thing that they do, over and over again, and this is round 3. Any possibility for round 4 ? Hardly...

BTW, did I mention that she's now sporting 2 weeny teeth and loves to do the 'sengih' action every now and then. And my br*asts have to suffer. Ouchhh....

Latest casualty at Iset@n

I had another casualty yesterday, at ISETAN KLCC.

Went there to get some bottle cap for Hannah. I lost them once too many times. The babysitter mentioned it again yesterday and I HAVE to find it no matter what. Does it sounds like an excuse ? No, right ? To get the cap I need to buy the whole pack which consist Dome cap + Screw cap + Travel base.

2 sets of this in one pack priced at RM25.90 !! So gurls who need Avent's bottle accesories, you can come and have a look at my stocks. I have lots of teats size 1 & 2, screw caps and travel bases to share.

But that was not a casualty, that's a necessity. The casualty part came right after that.

I started my wandering at ESPRIT, belek itu belek ini and stumbled upon a stack of purses + wallets. Mmmmm...why not ? I've been looking for a small purse instead of the long lady's purse. Senang masuk sling bag. Found 1 but later when hubby joined in, he said NOOOOOOO....that was ugly according to his standard. I like the NUBUX but again, he's the paymaster, my beloved banker $$$$ bling bling

We checked the boutique out but they're out of stock. So went back to Iset@n and settled for this :

An event-FULL Saturday

That day, I had more than I can handle. Dalam banyak2 Saturday, THAT SATURDAY lah :

~ Hanis sekolah, got gotong royong and amek report card.
~ Babah kena kerja sebab MEGA client nak test sistem diorang
~ Adan got his 1st Sports Carnival kat UIA
~ My sis kena balik Trg
~ My BIL kena pi Sabah

Luckily : My brother was not working that day and my SIL was still around (she got a kenduri in Kelantan) and my new babysitter was ever willing to offer her kindness. Alhamdulillah

So Babah sent Hanis to school, nobody attended the gotong royong. Sorry cikgu. Me and my SIL went to UIA for Adan's event. Since his event (event no.10) x start2, around 11-ish, my bro came to pick me up and we went to Hanis's school. Naik motor lagi cepat sbb area tu parking payah nak cari.

By the time we finished with the report card thingy, my SIL sms-ed saying Adan's event is about to start. So, I told the brother to carry us to UIA instead of home. Initial plan was that, we get Hanis to change her uniform first and get the car. Lucky for Hanis, she got her 1st experienced riding a bike, the real one. So jakun hehe tersengih all the way to the stadium.

Managed to catch Adan in action, Memimpin Si Buta, he was good, ran like mad with his partner, but the last couple had their 'heavy' moment. Pity the partner, he had to drag his tembam partner all the way and the RED team grabbed the 3rd place. Babah was sad that he missed the son's first event. You know la kan, the son is one special kid, never tested physical wise. Even my PIL kept on saying "No need to go laa..". Aiyoh...he's not that fragile la.

Balik singgah makan sup kat Tmn Melati and pickup Hannah. Balik sumer tergolek dog. Penat siot. The heat, fuhh unbearable. Everybody was chugging on the drinks and end up bloating. Burrp...

Tapi dlm penat2 petang tu sempat lagi merempit pegi Pandan Indah. Ada org nak sponsor handphone hehe budget given around RM1k tapi aku amek yang RM650 jek hehe, yang lebey nanti boleh channel tmpt lain. Aci gitu ?

My new baby (mine is black)
